The Knysna( pronounced “/n’aizna/” ) Ladies’ Residence is the newest Ladies Dormitory-cum-Hotel near the University of Sto. Tomas. The hotel rooms are on the ground floor. They are air conditioned, have their own personal 5 cu.ft. refrigerator, a TV, a kitchenette, a toilet and shower, and a choice of two double beds, or queen sized beds.
The Dorm Rooms are four-to-a-room affairs. They are furnished with two loft beds with mattresses, a study table and chair, book shelf and cabinets, their own ensuite toilets with showers. There are internet outlets in every room.
It is run by a professional Building Manager assisted by a Housekeeper. There is a CCTV camera in every floor. There is no curfew for its housemates, because the Front Desk is open 24 hours a day.
The Knysna Ladies Residences can be used long-term or short term. Reviewers, regular students and even Ladies searching for Hostel-type arrangements are welcome. The rates vary according to length of stay and whether one opts for an air conditioned room or a room cooled by fans.
Services to its Residents include a small Convenience store where one can buy daily needs like feminine products, water, snacks and simple meals. On the top floor, several computers can be rented out to those who don’t have computers. Shuttle service for its residents are also being planned for.
