Years ago, I stumbled into Real Estate as the vehicle to becoming financially independent. A book, "Rich Dad Poor Dad" pushed me to act. Reading it, I realized the importance of financial literacy as the key to building a wealth foundation.
I started to buy and sell houses using a rent-to-own strategy. From buying small multi-unit properties I slowly moved to buying buildings. I did it once. Then twice. Then three times...again and again. Generating cash every step of the way. Without realizing it, I'd become a landlord controlling a number of units generating monthly passive income.
But learning to earn passive income also presented challenges.
One key challenge is marketing. Selling.
What Robert Kiyosaki calls the sine qua non of entrepreneurship (sine qua non means you can't succeed without it). Either you learn selling or you forget entrepreneurship. That's the choice Robert's Rich Dad bluntly told him.
In effect, you can't be an entrepreneur unless you learn how to sell.

Both are savvy technopreneurs, they know and appreciate technology and apply it in their business. And make money.
